Throwback Attack: Lil Kim Feat. Puff Daddy "No Time"

Back in 1996 Lil kim had all the buzz possible for a female rapper. She had recent success as a standout on Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s album Conspiracy. The next level for her was to release a solo album, which was Hard Core.

The album went double platinum spawned by the lead single No Time Featuring Puffy. This song peaked at #18 on the Billboard Pop Charts, and was the #1 song on the rap charts, making her the first female rapper to have consecutive #1 Rap hits.

Too bad Lil Kim can't make a good record to save her life nowadays. During this time she dominated the charts, but we all know Biggie was a big time Ghost Writer on this album, and Lil Kim reaped the benefits.

While coming up with this video, Youtube led me to a Live performance at the Apollo. YO Lil Kim set it off back in the day, and I don't think she can do that anymore, but with the garbage she's been releasing lately, this music seems like centuries ago.
